Part IV.

1. 1. A teacher attempting to increase the vocabulary of his students

through teaching Latin roots
gives a pretest and teaches for the period of a semester. After some time,
the teacher gives a
posttest and measures the extent of gain from pretest to posttest.

Experimental Design : Quasi- Experimental

Explanation : Because base on my understanding the teacher gave a test

to his students and it is a non-randomized group. From Pre-test to Post-
test top measure and gain more from them .

2. An investigation wanted to find out if graphic organizers can help form

and develop concepts
among freshmen students. The researcher identifies one section as control
group and one
section as the experimental group. The control group is never exposed to
graphic organizers
while the experimental group is exposed. The pretest and posttest are
given to both groups.
The researcher then gives a posttest and measures the extent of gain from
pretest to posttest.

Experimental Design : True

Experimental Explanation ; The control group is never exposed to graphic

organizers and while the experimental group were exposed. And after that
The Researcher gave both pre-test and post-test to both group.

3. 3. This experimental design adds a control group to the design which

helps the researcher control
the history, maturation, pretesting, instrumentation, etc., and gives both
the experimental and
the control groups the chance to undergo essentially the same
experiences. Ina addition, the
participants are randomly assigned to either the control or the
experimental group, they are
equivalent at the start of the experiment. Any difference observed at the
end of the
experimental phase must be owing to the treatment because all other
explanations (extraneous
variables) have been accounted for.

Experimental Design: Crude

Explanation : Because all the group are categorized and they are all in.
