her and that that was the moment she knew that theatre
was her path.

Could you explain to me what the ‘’Viewpoints’’
technique entails and how it influences your work?

The viewpoints technique is a collaborative and physical

approach to creating theatre. It focuses on the
fundamental elements of performance, such as time,
space, shape, gesture, and movement. By utilizing these
viewpoints, actors and performers can explore and
develop their physical presence on stage. It emphasizes
presence, responsiveness, and connection with an
ensemble. With the Viewpoints technique, Anne aims to
create theatre that is dynamic and engages both the
performers and the audience.

In my work, the Viewpoints technique has had a profound

influence on my creative process. I have been able to embody
my characters in a more authentic way which adds layers of
depth and complexity.
The spatial awareness aspect of the Viewpoints technique has
also influenced my work in terms of staging and blocking. I
have become more conscious of the physical relationships
between characters and the use of space on stage.
