The indicator prevalence of HIV shows the percentage of people ages 15-49 who are infected
with HIV1. As seen in table 1 and graph 1 the value of this indicator has been the same from
2008 up until 2018, namely 0,4 percent. It is important to mention the difficulties by
retrieving data about these kinds of diseases2. In order for this indicator to remain this low or
to become even lower it would be useful to make the data more accessible and to ensure
enough research and education about HIV in areas that are socially isolated and do not have
the best health care and education provided.

Limitations and Exceptions: The limited availability of data on health status is a major constraint in assessing
the health situation in developing countries. Surveillance data are available for many major public health
concerns. Estimates of prevalence and incidence are available for some diseases but are often unreliable and
incomplete. National health authorities differ widely in capacity and willingness to collect or report information.
