PATHFit 3 Volleyball Tournament

Guidelines:
I. Date and Venue
The date for the tournament is on Dec. 3, 2023 and Dec 10, 2023, Sunday in the SB Grounds.

II. Division
There will be two divisions – Men and Women

III. Rules
The general rules are based on FIVB rulebook. Please see module 58 in the canvas for the FIVB-
Volleyball Rules 2021-2024 CHAPTER 3, pages 22-48.

IV. Responsibilities of Participants


 It is the participants’ responsibility to stay informed of the time and location of their matches, as
well as of their duty as refereeing team.
 At least 6 players must be present to play a match. If less than 6 players are present at the
scheduled start of the match, the game is forfeited 25-0.
 A team must consist of more than 6 players but not beyond 12. There will be 6 main players and
6 available substitutes.
 Substitutes must be registered or listed as one of the 12 players on the final list. Including a
player who is not listed will be disqualified and the team will be penalized.
 All participants – players and officials must log in and out in the attendance form for the morning
and afternoon schedules.
 All players must wear PE attire or jersey with a number at their back. You may use tape to paste
the number at the back of your uniform.
 All participants must bring the following:
a. PE Attire/Jersey and appropriate shoes
b. Water
c. Snacks
d. Extra shirt
e. Umbrella/Cap/Jacket
f. Whistle, Red and yellow cards (for referees)
g. Lunch

Note: Each game shall be played with 1 set only for 25 points. The players will change court once the score
reaches 12 points.
VII. Penalty and Sanctions for Players and Officials
Players:
 5 points will be deducted to a team if a player is late.
 50 points will be deducted to a team if a player displays unsportsmanlike actions, violence or cause any
trouble.
 Including a player who is not listed will be disqualified and the team will be deducted with 10 points.
Officials:
 10 points will be deducted to a team if an official is late.
 If a discrepancy, misjudgment, issue, negligence or any form of bias is pointed during the officiating of
the game, points will be deducted to the officials’ score.

VIII. Negligence (Not properly watching out for faults
and carrying duties like: lineballs, stepping on the
line, net touch, overreaching, rotation, getting the 10 points
ball, delay)
Misjudgment (Giving wrong judgment) 10 points
Bias (Favoring a team) 5 points
Hand signals (Giving wrong hand signals both
referee and linejudges) 10 points
Ranking and Score

2nd Winner 95
3rd Winner 90
4th Winner 85
5th Winner 80
Remaining Teams 75

Note:
 The rank and the equivalent score for the game is not the final exam score yet.
 Men and women will have a separate final exam score and the officials. If you are an official
who officiated under men’s division, your score will align with men’s division. If you are an
official who officiated under women’s division, your score will align with women’s division.
 Officials’ score will be added to the players’ score.
 The final exam score is the total of the following:
a. Players’ score over 100
b. Officials’ score over 100
c. Deductions on both players and officials.
