He made that look easy. Thin stainless tubing (304L - 065) project I did took me 3
times longer than expected and scared me off the stuff. Not the cheapest stuff to
screw up. I would love to see you guys do a SMAW video on something similar.

Juste à quick thank you from France. I tried to learn stainless rod on my own and
it gave me nightmares. I couldn't read or understand the puddle, took me half a day
(same half as your boss XD) to start to understand it.
I am getting little better weld after weld. So thanks for the video and the
sharing.
Keep it up.

Ive used stainless 308 rods to weld tempered steel , the procedure sheet specifies
running them way cold and a rod angle of 90 degrees, stringer beads and NO
manipulation. If you didnt grind every toe then you would 100% get an inclusion. I
would like to see you do a 3F and 4F with a 316L17 rod, those are rough. Great
stuff i look forward to the 309 video ive never used them should be interesting

I got thrown into stainless 3g 2 weeks ago, I had to watch this video on break and
it helped immensely. I picked it up in a matter of hours but I was skilled with
7018 and other rods/processes previously. End of day 2 there was a crowd gathered
around my weld with a head pointing at it and everyone getting in there and eyeing
it with props given. Overhead is a whole DIFFEREN

on that, do another video if the price of steel ever comes back down and keep
welding brother, thanks a bunch!

I want to personally thank you for this video on stainless vertical up. I have
never welded stainless steel before and I was told last week Friday that I need to
test for stainless steel and carbon mix weld (dissimilar metal) on Tuesday and I
was at a totally lost. Well the short of the story is this, you saved the day. I
watched this video and I was able to pass the test in one shot. I could hear you
throughout the test - 1 2 1 2 1 2. Worked like a charm. Thanks man, you now have
brother in Canada👍.

Cheers for sharing mate. I’ve never seen anyone do a continuous stainless vertical
up weld. I do a continuous stop/start if that makes sense. This is a lot q
