Objectives:
1. To preserve the cultural heritage of Cantilan literatures.
2. To trace the literary history in Cantilan.
3. Collect various literatures that are present in selected barangays of Cantilan
and compile it in a book or e-book.
4. Publish those literatures in a book or e-book where everyone can access it.

Statement of the Problem

Exploring the Rich Cultural Heritage of Cantilan, Surigao del Sur: A Study of
Cantilangnon Literature is a study that aims to compile those existing literatures in
Cantilan from the selected barangay of Cantilan year 2023-2024.

Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions;

1. What are the literatures of Cantilan?

1.1 Oral,

1.2 Written?

2. What are the types of folktales spoken by the Cantilangnons?

3. What folktales are being used during social or cultural gatherings?

4. What intervention can you suggest to promote the spread of folktales?
