Symptom

No data displayed in Excel when document is opened in the inplace mode.

Reproducing the Issue

1. Start transaction S_ALR_87013611

2. Enter data
3. Execute

Cause

The issue is caused by the settings in excel itself.

Resolution

If you want to use the Excel inplace functionality it is necessary to allow access to VB projects and macro in
excel.
Please follow the steps mentioned in SAP Note 696069 to enable macros in Microsoft Excel.
