Introduction
The student of conduct clearly sets out expectations about the responsibilities to support

students to understand and meet discipline expectations of the school, and guidance in the

application, where required of disciplinary consequences.

Vices are not crime. Vices are simply the errors which in individual makes in his search after

his own happiness. Unlike crimes, they simply no malice toward others and no crime without a

criminal intent, that is without the intent to involve the person or property of another. but no one

practices a vices with any such criminal intent unless otherwise, vice on drugs and gambling are

considered against the law, and he practices his vice for his own happiness solely, and not for any

malice towards others.

The Ceguera Technological Colleges is a smoke- free school hence students are prohibited to

smoke inside the school campus. The following on-campus offenses are considered serious and

merit serious disciplinary action, suspension, dismissal, or expulsion. Egregious disrespect for or

disregard of truth, teachers, or moral norms, that are incompatible with the college mission and

profile of the college graduate and the acceptance of these by the student through enrollment in the

college. Stealing or any form of cheating or dishonesty like;

Looking at the test/exam paper of others; communicating in any way with others during test/exams.

Any other suspicious behavior or any combination of these actions during test or exam.

Cheating /disciplinary /dishonesty in any major course requirement must be reported

immediately to the dean and to the office of the Guidance and Extra – Curricular services; Any form

of immorality; Possession of pornographic materials; Bringing and/or drinking alcoholic or

intoxicating beverages; drinking intoxicating beverages or liquor, unauthorized carrying of firearms

or any lethal weapons. Setting off any kind of firecrackers and/or pyrotechnics unless duly

authorized by the chief security service. Physical assault, gross discourtesy to CTC Personnel, school

guards or students, possession, use and/or trafficking of prohibited drugs.

Gambling littering and acts of vandalism, spitting, tampering and mutilating of documents.

Instigating or engaging in activities resulting in injury to persons or in damage to school facilities or

property. Preventing or threatening students or faculty members or school authorities from

discharging their duties. Frequent and continuous disregard of this disciplinary code or any single

offense considered serious in this same code. Any serious violation of government laws on or off

campus.

A code of conduct is a set of principles, expectations and or rules that are given to students and

parents to make sure that the expectation that the school has for behavior are clearly

communicated to them. They outline students’ rights, ensuring that no student will be penalized or

single out based on anything but a violation of established rules. The main purpose of a code of

conduct is to set and maintain a standard for acceptable behavior to all stakeholders in a company.

Rules and regulations, as mentioned are put in place to provide order and standards in the

school and any breach can concrete an imbalance. Discipline teacher’s accountability and

responsibility in students, as well as on teacher who may not be behaving in ways that adhere to

the school’s policies.

Theoretical Framework

This study was anchored mainly in Theory of Planned Behavior, and was supported by Self

Control Theory and Researcher’s Theory. These theories are applicable in the present study

A theoretical framework is a foundational review of existing theories that serves as a

roadmap for developing the arguments you will use in our work. Theories are developed by the

researchers to explain phenomena, draw corrections and make predicting. The researchers of the

study, used the three theories to wit;

Theory of Planned Behavior

The theory of planned behavior was developed by Icek Ajzen as an attempt to predict human

behavior. This TBP posits that attitude toward the behavior, subject we warm, and perceived

behavioral control influence behavioral intention. At assume that individual act rationally, according

to their attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control these factors are necessarily

actively or consciously considered during decision-making but form the backdrop for the decision-

making process.

Self- Control Theory

Research has also found that low levels of self-control are correlated with criminal and

explosive conduct. The theory was originally developed by criminologist, Travis Hirschi and Michael

Gottfried son, but has since been subject to a great deal of theoretical debate and a large and

growing empirical literature.

Researcher’s Theory

Researchers Theory are developed by researchers to explain phenomena, draw connections,

and make predictions. In the context of research, lacks no sanctity. Theory gives sanctity and charm

to research despite being given less importance. Research, for that matter, starts with and ends

with theory. Theory helps researchers to gain an overall understanding of the concepts involved and

concludes with theory that gives sanctum sanctorum to any kind of research, in any field of study. It

is being said that research without theory is like a human body without flesh - it is only a skeleton

having bones without flesh. It can be inferred that theory gives beauty to research. It entices the

people towards research and to see the research in to and its wholesomeness. Skeleton can never

be a beauty, it is only a structure of bones. It is in this context, it is insisted that theory paves and

leads the way to the noble thought process of conception and conviction in the outcomes of

research. Theory is the soul of research. It is also being insisted and reiterated by thinkers that the

theory helps to see the forest instead of a single tree. Henceforth, the importance of theory, as part

and parcel of research, is inevitable and essential, in any field of research.

Research Methodology

This chapter present the methods and procedures adopted in the conduct of the study,

produce of investigations and data gathering tools aside from this, matters discussed are the

research design, the respondents and the statistical treatment of data that will be used

Research methods

Descriptive survey research is an approach of descriptive research that blends quantitative

and qualitative data to provide you with relevant and accurate information. A time-efficient research

method, descriptive survey design engages the people at the center of the research objective.

Respondent

The respondents of this study is based on the selected 4 th year criminology students where a

frequency count of 90.

Data gathering tools

Survey questionnaire will be prepared by the researchers in order to identify and determine

the conduction of the variables of the study.

Statistical tools

After tabulation and organization of data gathered, percentile technique and weighted mean

average are used to quantity that exactness of the data in terms of percentage composition. The

statistical tools that the research used is of a descriptive method because this can easily determine

its validity and corrections of data.

A. Percentage Technique.

This formula is used to describe the demographic profile of the respondents such as gender, age,

family status, and other information indicated in their personal profile.

Formula for percentage is:

f
P= x 100

Where:

P = percentage

f = frequency of responses

N = total number of respondents

100 = constant

B. Weighted Mean.

This formula was employed to determine the respondents mean rating on the level of
