III. Personal Learning Experience

In our 1st week session, we kicked off with a Picture Walk, a creative and engaging activity
that allowed the tutees to share their thoughts freely. The book titled” Trudis, ang Munting
Anghel”. The room buzzed with excitement as the learners explored vivid images, expressing
whatever popped into their minds. This not only sparked creativity but also provided a
comfortable space for the tutees to open up and share their ideas. Moving on to the academic
front, we delved into reviewing homework and assignments. The tutees demonstrated
commendable effort, successfully completing their tasks. During this process, we took the time
to address any mistakes or areas of confusion, ensuring a solid understanding of the material.
The atmosphere was one of collaboration, with questions flowing freely, creating a conducive
learning environment. Test preparation took center stage in our session, encompassing three key
components: reviewing, practicing sample questions, and discussing test-taking strategies. We
revisited relevant materials, reinforcing the core concepts necessary for success. The tutees
engaged in lively practice sessions with sample questions, honing their skills and building
confidence. Furthermore, we navigated through effective test-taking strategies, equipping the
learners with valuable tools for approaching exams with confidence. The discussions were
interactive, allowing the tutees to share their own experiences and insights. In conclusion, the
Picture Walk served as an energizing icebreaker, setting the tone for a productive session. The
tutees showcased their academic prowess during the review of homework and assignments,
demonstrating a commitment to learning. As we delved into test preparation, the collaborative
efforts and interactive discussions left everyone well-prepared and ready to face academic
challenges head-on. The session was not just about learning; it was about fostering a positive and
supportive learning environment where each participant could thrive.
In our 2nd week, our session was a delightful journey filled with learning and laughter. We
began with a Picture Walk, where the tutees eagerly explored the vibrant pages of the book titled
"Ang Kalapati at ang Uwak." Excitement bubbled as they shared their thoughts and imaginations
sparked by the illustrations. It was heartwarming to see them express themselves freely, creating
a lively atmosphere. Following the Picture Walk, we dove into simple mathematics problems
involving addition and subtraction. The tutees tackled a 20-item activity with enthusiasm,
showcasing their growing confidence in solving mathematical challenges. The joy on their faces
as they grasped these fundamental concepts was truly rewarding. The adventure continued with
a reading session, where the tutees delved into simple textbooks. The room was filled with the
rhythmic cadence of their reading, each word unlocking new worlds of imagination. Witnessing
their progress in reading comprehension was a testament to their dedication and the power of
learning through engaging materials. Throughout the session, a sense of accomplishment
radiated from each tutee. The collaborative journey through the book, the triumphs in math
problem-solving, and the strides in reading proficiency painted a picture of growth and
development. It was not just a tutoring session; it was a shared experience of discovery and
empowerment. In the end, as the pages of "Ang Kalapati at ang Uwak" closed, the room echoed
with the echoes of newfound knowledge and friendship. The simple words on the pages
transformed into lasting memories of a day filled with learning, laughter, and the joy of
exploration.

lit up with curiosity as they touched leaves, observed insects, and marveled at the beauty of the
outdoors. This hands-on experience not only connected them with nature but also fostered an
appreciation for the environment. In the realm of writing activities, the tutees delved into the
world of storytelling using story starters. With a spark of creativity, they successfully crafted
sentences that seamlessly wove into a narrative. Their faces lit up with pride as they contributed
to the unfolding story, showcasing their growing confidence in expressing themselves through
words. The activity not only honed their writing skills but also nurtured a love for storytelling.
