1. Explain the 4 basic motivators and give examples each.


 Travel is often used as a means of escape from stress and obligations.
Example:
-Take into account a person who works long hours and lives in a busy metropolis. They may be
overworked and fatigued from their daily schedule, so in order to relax and recharge, they
choose to take a weeklong vacation to a peaceful cabin in the mountains.
 Relaxation, since they can discover calm, lessen their stress, and relax as a result of this
vacation experience.
Example:
-Someone who has experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines. They might start
to experience mental fatigue and overwhelm. They made the decision to go on vacation to a
peaceful beach area.
 Physical, as travel can present opportunity for adventure and physical exertion.
Example:
-Someone who loves to hike and has always imagined tackling difficult mountain paths. They
made the decision to go to a place known for its untamed and stunning alpine scenery.
 Cultural, learning about various cultures' customs and traditions sometimes include
sampling new dishes.
Example:
-Someone who has a lifelong fascination with Japanese customs, cuisine, and art. Their primary
reason for traveling is cultural.

2. Discuss the learning process of a tourist.


- A tourist's learning process entails an active exploration of new places as they learn and
experience new things. It includes learning about the history, traditions, and practices of
the area as well as other cultures, which results in a richer understanding of the world
and travel experiences.

3. Compare psychocentrics, midcentrics, and allocentrics. Provide examples each.


 Psychocentrics- Psychocentrics are people who enjoy predictable, orderly, and
structured situations.
Example: A psychocentric visitor might decide to spend their holiday at a well-known
chain hotel in a well-known tourist location.
 Midcentrics- Even if they are receptive to some novelty, they nonetheless place a high
value on qualities of comfort and familiarity.
Example: Even though they prefer to stay in a known hotel chain, midcentric travelers
may choose to explore a new place.
 Allocentrics- They are more inclined to travel to uncommon places and become
immersed in the local way of life.
Example: A visitor who is allocentric could choose to stay in a remote village homestay in
a less-traveled area of a foreign nation to become fully immersed in the local traditions
and customs.

4. How are pleasure/personal travelers are classified?


- Pleasure/personal travelers are ordinarily categorized according to the reason for their
journey. They are those who travel for pleasure, rest, or personal reasons such as
holidays, visits with family, or exploration rather than for professional or business-
related reasons.

5. What do inhibit person to travel?


- A number of things, such as financial limitations, health problems, visa requirements,
and personal commitments like work or family duties, can make traveling difficult.
People may also be discouraged from traveling due to issues like safety worries, political
unrest, or natural calamities in the location.
