Course Description: The course Accounting for Managers is designed to provide non-
accounting professionals with a strong foundation in financial accounting concepts and principles,
enabling them to make informed business decisions based on financial information. The course
emphasizes the tools used by managers for analyzing the financial data.
Course Objectives: -
1) To understand the various accounting concepts and conventions.
2) To learn the inventory valuation techniques.
3) To equip students with knowledge of preparing financial statements .
4) To learn preparing cost sheets.
Course Outcomes: -
1) CO 1: Explain the accounting concepts and conventions.
2) CO 2: Apply inventory valuation techniques.
3) CO 3: Prepare the financial statements, viz., Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet of a sole
proprietor
