It is the ability of the org. to source new employees, to keep the org operating, and improving the quality of the
human capital employed

Recruitment process is to find the widest pool of applicants to provide the greatest opportunity to select the best
people for the required roles in an org.

Selection

Once the pool of candidates has been identified through recruitment process, the most appropriate candidate or
candidates are identified through the selection process through interviewing, reference checking or testing.

The purpose of selection process is to ensure that the best person or people are appointed for the role using
effective, fair and equitable assessment activities.
