always delayed in delivery by 4-5
months.
The transportation annual report has both operational and financial
data from four sectors of transportation (road, rail, aviation, and
maritime). Because it shows the budget utilization rate (BUR), it is a
basis if next year’s proposed budget will be approved.

Why is the delivery of the transportation annual report being delayed?

Because there is no standardization of transportation data.
Why there is no standardization of transportation data?
Because the data being collected came from different sources.
Why the data are being collected from different sources?
Because the data are coming from the attached agencies and
sectoral offices, which have a different legacy system of their own.

Why do the attached agencies and sectoral offices still rely on this old system?
Because DOTr has NO system or pipeline that can organize all this
data from the attached agencies.

Management Information Service proposed the Integrated Transport Information System (ITIS). It is a
web-based system that is designed to streamline the data collection from the existing legacy systems.
