First, the "Clue Collector" visits crime scenes, methodically equipped with his

sampling kit. He proceeds to take meticulous readings, noting every detail that might
be essential for solving the crime. His findings are always documented with detailed
photos.

The data collected is then handed over to the " Reconstitution and research Specialist
". With her sharp analytical skills, she examines photos and samples, seeking to
reconstruct what happened at the crime scene. Each clue becomes a piece of the
puzzle, which she assembles with precision to understand the sequence of events.

The "Public Relations Operator" plays a crucial role in publicizing the progress of the
investigation. She drafts wanted notices, shares information on social networks and
keeps the public informed of the progress of investigations and contacts potential
witnesses for information.

The "Forensic artist" uses her artistic talent and forensic skills to recreate a lifelike
portrait of a person from his corpse, and identify the dead person.

Finally, the "Hacker" is the master of digital data. His mission is to enter computer
systems, access confidential data and follow the digital trail left by criminals. His
expertise in hacking and computer analysis is essential for solving complex
investigations.

The most recent case we've solved:

We're in the center of Paris, a highly connected city, and we're following the story of
Mark a university student, specializing in computer science, who's the best in his
class.
He's not very sociable, but he's followed by a lot of young students thanks to his
wide-ranging computer-related sites. He has one best friend, and the only one who's
really close to him. This friend named Spenser comes from a wealthy, successful and
exigent family, but he is not very talented compared to Mark.
One day, Spenser went to class without Mark, and the university's teachers
wondered why Mark, who is usually never absent, wasn't there. Spencer told them
he hadn't seen him for the whole morning, which is why he went straight to class. In
the evening, Mark still hadn't returned, so his parents became worried and his best
friend Spenser reported his absence to the police, saying that he had no idea about
what happened. The police didn't take the young man's claims seriously, taking it for
granted that Mark had simply run away and would be back soon.
After several days without any news, Mark's parents and people at school began to
worry, and the story made its way around town until it reached our ears. That's how
we, The Ciphersleuth, decided to solve the case.

First Lova the public relations operator and Sedric the hacker began their little
investigations.
I hacked into Mark's accounts and began accessing his personal data, trying to retrace
his day and find clues. I inspected his various online conversations and discovered
that Spenser and Mark had a toxic relationship. And I also discovered that Mark had a
particular love for croissants, and that they usually frequented his favorite bakery for
breakfast before class.

For my part, I launched an online appeal for witnesses, and several people
responded. All testimonies converged towards the same conclusion: Mark seemed to
be rather a loner, with only one friend, Spenser. However, the situation became
intriguing when Spenser's testimony was taken into account, claiming to have seen
Mark engaging in conversation with several people. This contradiction raised
questions, as it appeared to be in conflict with the general idea that Mark has no
other friends.
So the suspicions focused on Spenser.
As a result, I, the clue-gatherer went on site and asked the bakery's customers if they
had seen two young students having breakfast here. And a couple replied that he and
his wife ate here every morning and they always saw them eating at the same table
and the two students always ordered a croissant and a coffee. I then asked them if
anything strange had happened on the day of Mark's disappearance, and they replied
that, like every morning, the two of them were eating at the same table, but at some
point one of the young students became unwell, so they went out, croissant in hand.
Then I hacked into the cameras around the bakery and watched the recordings of the
day of the vanishment. I saw that Mark and Spencer had headed to a place quite far
from town, which is strange considering Mark wasn't feeling well and especially the
fact that Spenser said that he hadn't seen him all morning.
Convinced that Spenser had something to do with the mysterious disappearance, I
used a detailed map of the city to determine the probable location of where the two
friends had gone that day, since the city's cameras do not reach that far. And I went
to the location and discovered a small house hidden by some tall trees, I entered the
house and smelled strange odors and noticed that there weren’t many personal
belongings, the house was almost empty, following the scent, I found a hidden
basement and discovered a body there.
Then I was called to the scene to identify the corpse, because it was disfigured and
unrecognizable. I used a facial reconstruction software program to create a 3D model
of the victim's face, based on the characteristics of his skull and elements of his
remains. I concluded that the body was indeed Mark's.
Enzo took some photos of the scene, and brought me the body and the croissant left
next to it. I proceeded to analyze the croissant, examining every detail from the sugar
flakes on the dough to the fingerprints on it. I found a strange powder in the dough of
the croissant, so I started the autopsy on the body and saw that the same residue of
powder remained in his throat, so I concluded that Mark had been poisoned by the
croissant.

Knowing that the culprit was Spenser, we went to pick him up at the university and
pressured him to tell us the whole story. He explained that the more time went by,
the more his family compared him to Mark, saying that he was a worthless idiot and
had to follow in his friend's footsteps. He couldn't take the constant humiliation and
corrupted the baker with a large amount of money to put poison in Mark's croissant.
So, once again, I went to the bakery to interrogate the baker, only to find that he had
disappeared without a trace.
Sedric checks up on him and we discover that he's a serial killer on the loose. But
that's a whole different story.
