Transportation in Northern Malaysia

2.0 Introduction
This title was chosen because there are many types of transportation in northern Malaysia. This
map also will give an overview about the states that has in northern Malaysia. For example, if
there are a group of tourists from outside Malaysia could see the states that in northern
Malaysia besides about list of transportations that have in map. They also will get to know the
route of every type of transportation based on the map that we created.

3.0 Type of map

The qualitative data that has in our map is the types of transportation in northern Malaysia.
There are four types of transportation in our map which are the ferry, bus, train and flight. There
are also pin the point of every station of transportation. We choose a different color of every pin
that we create in map. For example, we choose the blue color for train station and black color
for the airport.

The quantitative data that has in our map is the number of every type of transportation in every
state that we digitized. We calculated how many there are airports, bus stations, train stations
and ferry terminals in every state. All the pinpointed transportations were narrowed down into
districts. We stated the sum of transportation in every state on our map. In instance, in Perlis
there are 2 bus stations, 3 train station, 1 ferry terminal and no airport.

4.0 The Geographical Region

Our group chose Northern Malaysia which consists of Kedah, Perlis, Perak and Penang.

7.0 Justification for Project

During making this map, we identified there are many benefits that our map can offer to our
intended user. Our map providing precise information about the transportation routes in
Northern Malaysia for tourists. This helps tourist who do not know the routes in Northern
Malaysia. Next, the tourists can plan easier by using our map on their travel in Northern
Malaysia. By knowing the route, they can plan on how to get on the transport that went the
destination. Lastly, our map providing to tourists many options of transportation in Northern
Malaysia. This recommends the tourist to choose any comfortable and affordable transport for
their travel.

Our intended user are international and local tourists.
