Even as a young child, my father always told me that: “the true measure of greatness is not the things

you have done for yourself, but for others.” This is why, though I was still a student, I have always
regarded leadership as synonymous with being selfless and being for the service of others. In fact, back
when I was still in high school, I served as the Vice President of the Youth Society for Christ, a student
organization in our school that is known to spearhead various socio-civic activities such as feeding
programs for the impoverished families of our communities, medical missions, and numerous
educational workshops. During the first few years after my college graduation, my desire to expose
myself to the world has eventually led me to join the Kiwanis Club International where I also took part in
various socio-civic activities but was now more geared towards children.
