Preparation
Print and cut out the game cards and the individual picture cards onto either thin card or paper (to be
laminated). You will also need a pin or split pin to assemble the spinner.

How to Make the Spinner

Print the two parts of the spinner onto paper and then glue them on top of corrugated card for strength.
Alternatively, print the two parts onto thin card.

Cut out the circular spinner top and make a hole in the centre with a pin. Make a hole in the small circle on
the spinner base, too.

Join the circular spinner to the base with a split pin. Rotate the spinner until the hole is wide enough and
the spinner spins freely. Note: A lump of sticky tack added to the top of the pin and surrounding card may
help younger children to be able to spin the card.

How to Play the Game

Additional materials needed: counters

1. Hand out the 16-grid Christmas bingo game cards to each player.

2. The bingo caller spins the spinner and calls out or shows the picture card that is shown by the arrow
at the top. To avoid repetition and reduce the length of the game – instead of using the spinner – the
picture cards may also be turned face down on a flat surface and chosen randomly.

3. Players place a counter onto the picture if they have it on their 16-grid bingo game card.

4. There are three ways to play and win: Squares, Lines and U-shape. In Squares, players must place
counters in a square to be able to shout, ‘Bingo!’ and win. In Lines, players win if they are the first to
make a horizontal, diagonal or vertical line with their counters. In U-shape, the winner is the first player
to make a u-shape.
