Methodology Example
This methodology is focused on a mixed-method study, with a sample of grade 10 students from
Birbira High School, who are currently enrolled in a face-to-face learning modality, with the use of self-
report measures and semi-structured interviews to collect data. The data will be analyzed using
statistical techniques and thematic analysis, with ethical considerations being taken into account. And
the conclusion will provide insights on the coping mechanisms that are effective in managing stress and
Research design
The method used in the research is a quantitative method. This method involves collecting
numerical data and using statistical analysis to understand patterns and relationships. The data
collection is done through the use of a self-reported coping mechanisms scale, which is administered to
students to assess their coping strategies and the effectiveness of these strategies in terms of academic
performance and emotional well-being. The data is then analyzed using descriptive statistics, such as
mean, standard deviation, and frequency distributions, to identify patterns and trends in the coping
The study will include a sample of grade 10 students from Birbira High School who are currently

method
Data Collection
Data will be collected through self-report measures and interviews. A coping strategies
inventory and a standardized measure of stress and academic performance will be administered to all
to gather more in-depth information about their coping mechanisms and experiences.
Data Analysis
The data will be analyzed using statistical techniques to determine the frequency of coping
strategies used by the students and the relationship between coping strategies, stress levels, and
academic performance. The interview data will be analyzed using thematic analysis.
Ethical Considerations
Informed consent will be obtained from the participants and their parents, assuring them of the
The results of the study will be used to determine the coping mechanisms employed by grade 10
students of Birbira High School in a face-to-face learning modality and how they are associated with
their level of stress, academic performance, and mental health. The findings will provide insight into the
coping mechanisms that are effective in managing stress and maintaining academic performance among
grade 10 students in face-to-face learning modality, which will be useful for school counselors, teachers,
