CONTENT STANDARD The learners demonstrate an understanding key concepts of


circular functions, trigonometric identities, inverse trigonometric
functions, and the polar coordinate system.

The learner will be able to formulate and solve situational


PERFORMANCE STANDARD problems involving circular functions
LEARNING COMPETENCY/ CODE Convert degree measure to radian measure and vice versa.

I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:

1. Identify famous African authors and their works;


2. Analyze representative text from African literature; and
3. Show the value of respect despite cultural differences.

II. SUBJECT MATTER Topic: Angles in a Unit Circle


Instructional Materials: Laptop, PPT maker, Marker
References: Curriculum Guide, Module and Webesite

IV. MOTIVATION  Short video clip entitled “ Trigonometry Real life


Application”
 There are situations around us that apply the concept of
angles. These include the fields related to engineering ,
medical imaging, electronics, astronomy, geography and
many more.
 Surveyors, pilots, landscapers. Designers and people in
many other professions heavily use angles and
trigonometry to accomplish a variety of practical tasks.

V. LESSON PROPER TASK 1 : “Obtain My Conversion”


A. ACTIVITY
 The class will be divided into 4 groups. Each group will
be given a problem-based task card to be explored and
presented to the class. Inquiry questions from the teacher
and learners will be considered during the exploration
activity.

Problem:
1. Obtain the conversion rules of degree to radian, and vice versa.
2. What is the radian measure of the following?
A. 90º
B. 180º
C. -270º
3. What is the radian measure of the following?

B. ANALYSIS  Based from the activity, each group will be tasked to


present the analysis of the story using the story grammar.
 It is consist of 5 parts ( Major Characters, Minor
Characters, Central Theme, Tragic Plot, Authors
message)

C. ABSTRACTION  The teacher will ask the students about the significant of
the story.
 What is the morale of the story?
 As a Filipino, how will you describe the culture
and traditions of the Hebrews as shown in the
facts in the story?
D. APPLICATION  The students will answer the question:
 How will you relate the story of Cain and Abel to
you and to your brothers/sisters life as siblings?

VI. EVALUATION Directions: Read carefully each questions below and answer
it critically.

1. If you are Cain in the story and you are given a


chance to change one thing in the past, what
would it be? Why?
2. If you given a chance to be God what
punishments would you give to Cain and to
people who imitates the wrong doing of Cain,
what would it be and why?

VII. AGREEMENT The students are tasked to search about Globalization and
Migration.
