OBJECTIVES
The objective of this project
named “FEAR AND PHOBIA” is
to spread awareness about the
emotion “FEAR’ and how to
overcome it and thus making our
lives better and easier.
NOUN
An unpleasant emotion caused by threat of
danger, pain or harm.
VERB
To be afraid of someone or something as
likely to be dangerous, painful or harmful.
PHOBIA
You may have felt it yourself or seen a
friend unable to speak a word of well
memorised and rehearsed speech before
an audience.
These kind of fear are termed as phobias,
people who have phobias irrational fears to
specific objects, people or situation.
Phobias often develop gradually or began
with generalised anxiety disorder, phobias
can be grouped into three main types
i.e specific phobia, special phobia and
agoraphobia
SPECIFIC PHOBIA
Specific phobias are the not commonly
occurring types of phobia. This group
includes irrational fear such as water { a
certain type of animal or object} or
enclosed spaces. Some examples are given.
The Following Are:-
AGOROPHOBIA
Agorophobia in the term used when people
develop a fear of entering unfamiliar
situations many agorophobias are afraid of
leaving their home. So their ability to carry
out normal lie activities is severly limited.
CAUSES
Fear is incredibly complex and there
is no single, primary cause. Some fears
may result from experiences or trauma,
while others may represent a fear of
something else entirely, such as loss of
control. Still, other fears may occur
because they cause physical symptoms,
such as being afraid of heights because
they make you feel dingy and sick to your
stomach.
