What is globalization ?

Toyota cars are made by a Japanese corporation but the chasis of the car are made
in England , the engines in Wales , the tires in Japan , the wiring in China , the seat
belt in the Czech Republic and the headlights in France like many goods that we’re
familiar with these cars are manufactured in a number of different places in the
world This is an expression of globalization. Globalization is much more than
international trade global chains and cheap goods. Globalization is a process where
countries around the world are becoming closer in a number of areas it influences
people immigration employment ideas and knowledge . Globalization is not new
though for thousands of years people and later corporation have been buying from
and selling to each other in lands at great distances . One such example is the thin
Silk Road across Central Asia that connected China and Europe during the Middle
Ages . But What exactly drives globalization ? Over the past 20 years there have
been significant development in both communications and transport technologies .
The introduction of specialized bulk carries and container ships has helped to
reduce the cost of transport and greatly increase the volume of the world trade
recent developments in communications technology especially the development of
the internet and email enable people anywhere on earth to have access to and
distribute vast amounts of information , international trade has given countries
access to goods and services they are unable to produce themselves or can obtain
more cheaply from other places . Yes, thanks to globalization, there are many good
changes happening in the world, in our environment, but what I don't like the most
is environmental pollution. The negative impact of globalization is environmental
damage.Environmental damage caused by lax environmental protection. Factories
failed to include costs in preventing environment pollution into their price of
goods , so as to reduce their cost of production and increase their competitiveness .
This will cause an unbalance environment , leading to climate change and major
catastrophes such as flash floods or haze
