Course Description

This course is designed to give students a firm grounding in the principles and key concepts in
Islamic Inheritance Law, principal elements of asset distribution. Legal heirs and their
preference for inheritance in light of Succession Laws. The course will focus on Islamic law of
Inheritance, including transfer of property through Gifts, Wills and Wakaf and their legal
implications. Islamic distribution of inheritance will be analysed in Pakistani Law and relevant
case studies.

discussions will form an important part of the
course, and students are expected to

discourse analysis. In this spirit, it is expected
that students will assume the responsibility
for their own learning, which includes:
