Introduction
Web-based technologies play an increasingly vital part in the overall effort to
improve healthcare IT. In order to help facilitate the adoption of new technology,
we have created a new web site: key2.fresenius-kabi.com to digitize and automate
the license distribution process for our Application Devices’ software.

Getting started
Request an account in http://key2.fresenius-kabi.com, as “Employee” or
“Customer”. As a customer, a purchase order and customer ID will be mandatory.

Today, the Key2 site represents the new software license activation pathway for
Fresenius Kabi Medical Devices. It contains five primary sections devoted to

1. Agilia
2. Amika
3. Medication Safety Software (Vigilant Drug’Lib Agilia)
4. Disposables
5. Connectivity

Agilia: Link+ Agilia with HL7 option

Inside the Agilia range section, you will find the Link+ Agilia with the new option
HL7.

This option will open a seamless communication with Hospital Information Systems.

The HL7 license is automatically generated by Key2 once the

customer enters the credentials received by regular mail.

The HL7 option in Key2 will allow you to store the licenses you have ordered and
manage your account.

Activate your HL7 option

In Key2, enter the information provided on your card. By entering the product
code, the Serial number and Activation key, you will automatically credit your
account with as many licenses as you have purchased.

Once the licenses you have purchased have been credited to your account, you
are ready to go the next step: Generate your HL7 license number.

Assign one of the credits by entering the Serial number of the Link+ Agilia. This
will automatically generate the HL7 LICENSE NUMBER.

Enter the HL7 license number into the Link+ Agilia web interface and adapt
technical settings provided by the customer’s IT department. Once you exit the
configuration, the Link+ Agilia will reboot for about one minute and your HL7 option
will be ready!

Amika: Partner Amika

Partner Amika is a maintenance software that will be available in May 2014.
Once the customer receives the CD to install it, the section in Key2 “Partner Amika”
will enable you to generate the license number by entering the PC number.

Request a Partner Amika license

In order to request a Partner Amika License, you need to start the installation of
the software you have received by regular mail. During the installation, the
device’s ID number will appear on your screen. Copy it and paste it in “Make a
request”. This will generate a message and you will receive your license number by
email. The license number will also be accessible via your account in Key2.

Medication Safety Software

This section is intended to include information dedicated to Medication Safety.

Today, you will find some helpful information about our Vigilant Drug’Lib software.

Disposables
This section is intended to include information dedicated to Volumat Lines Dedicated
disposables. The Volumat Lines catalogue is available to download in pdf.
The Volumat Lines Interactive tool will be coming soon; an information letter will be sent
mid April.

The right hand side of the web site is dedicated to the latest news & product updates. It
also includes your profile details:

Connectivity
This section contains information to support the interoperability of Agilia infusion pumps
and Links with all the PDMS systems we have done tests with. It also includes:

- An IHE Integration Statement from the 2012 connectathon

Internal Training: Webcast

An internal Webcast training session will take place next April 29th. One session will be at
8h CET and another at 16h CET. Register for only one of the two sessions.
