Introduction
Since the very first beta of Tales of Pirates crusaders has been the most common character in game. Duo to the massive strength, attack speed and coolness people have choosen to create crusader after crusader. I would like to say that it is extremely boring to have a very common char that almost every person has. When I first created my account and my first character I didnt know a single thing about Tales of Pirates. But what I could figure out from the small class tree was that I would have been bored playing as a crusader. After about 20seconds of thinking I choose Lance and decide to train my character to be a Sharpshooter. This was over a year ago and I had no idea how to build a sharpshooter. This document contains all my thoughts around equipping and developing a dominating sharpshooter. After reaching lv82 I have learned a lot and also had the chance to try all different builds. Please leave a comment after reading this. All pictures are taken by me, and all pictures are showing my main character pong. Before you start reading; I would like to thank Kazejin, Magica, eulapiz for making it possible to reach m todays status as a server leading Sharpshooter.

Common builds
There are some different builds to choose among upon creating a Sharpshooter. In the beginning the Accuracy and Agility build was the most known. But today I would like to say that the Constitution and Accuracy build is starting to get more common. There is one build that I will not even bother to talk about; Pure Agility builds. Why?

Agility = Attack Speed and Dodge However, this build will never do you any good. Running around shooting like a machine gun doesnt help you when you cant hit the hi-lvl crusaders. I will not talk about agility builds just because I think they SUCK!

Acc-Agi
I really powerful build. With this build you will get a massive attack and high attack speed. But what you will lack is Health Power and Defence. Something that you really need to ask yourself when creating a sharpshooter is the purpose. Are you going to just do mazes? Or will you participate in some massive Player Killing? For me, this build was never an option. I realized before adding the last base accuracy stat that this build will never let me be alive in pvp areas. Therefore I will not talk more than this about Acc-Agi builds.

Con-Acc
The most common support build. Will increase the chance to survive at pvp areas and mazes. All though it will decrease your chance to kill any enemy characters duo to your lack of attack power. If you really want to and put a lot of effort in to this game; you will be able to gain the same huge amount of HP without using this build. Therefore I didnt go for this build.

Con-Agi
Not too much to say about this build. With this setup you will earn high Hp and def as well as high dodge and attack speed. You will be pure support; you will never be able to kill anyone of your opponents.

Acc-Con-Agi - Hybrid
Accuracy, Constitution and Agility, my favorite. This is the build I am currently using with my main character pong. With this build you will not only earn high attack power duo to the accuracy, you will also earn a high Health Power with some well earned defense points. If you get the opportunity to be very high leveled, this is the build that will make you the stronger Sharpshooter. I started with adding 100 base Accuracy, this will be your base attack and hit rate Bank. No matter what pet or gear setup you use, you will always have high attack power to lean back on. Now lets talk about the hybrid part! Even though I just use a small amount of agility I added my agility directly after maxing my base accuracy. I equipped my lv65 unsealed gun and my equipment. Then I just added agility until my attack speed reach 100. 100 attack speed mean that you will your character will fire of his gun once every second. With 100 attack speed I considered every single agi from future gear and as a pure bonus. For example I realized that I will someday be able to get myself a Sharpshooter lv70 Claw stone that will add 20 attack speed. And even later I will be able to get myself Abaddons Hand, the Death Set glove, that adds 25 attack speed.

Acc

Lv4 UG gems Rings Pet Base stats Con Agi

Now comes the easiest part! With 100 base accuracy and a smooth 100 in attack speed I added all my additional stat points to constitution. From now on all my additional stat points will go to constitution. This will benefit my HP and my Defense. This way I will soon be able to start wurviving in mazes and all other pvp areas. The problem with Sharpshooters is that we dont get so much benefit from each con stat point. That for we cant make a to spread hybrid build. We need to focus on one constitution after accuracy. We cant afford adding an equal amount of stat points on agi as on con. If you do so, you will end up with an incomplete character that has no profession. At level 82 I have managed to get 8 800 HP with 312 def. That is more than most constitution sharpshooter ever reach. I claim this proves that you dont need the constitution build to earn a massive amount of HP. With LV3 Heart of Black Dragon gems you will be able to reach almost 10 000HP with this build. However you will still lack the defense points to be able to survive. To be able to survive you will need to focus on forging. As a sharpshooter you will just have to accept that our defense benefit from constitution really sucks. So, what is the purpose with high HP when you dont have any defense? People usually tells me that I am stupid or lame to choose a massive HP build and not adding any defense gems. The thing is; since we never will earn any high amount of defense we need something else to survive. With low defense we need as much HP as possible to survive in the long run. At a high level state, what can I do to increase my chances to survive? Keep getting more HP, forge and add con. That is the base. But as soon as you can afford get yourself an armor that gives you a high amount of Physical Resistance bonus. 0 Cursed Black Dragon Torso gives 30 PR.

(Attack of opponent) - (PR, % of opponents attack) Defense =Damage your character will take.

What does that gibberish actually mean? If a crusader slash 10 000 and you have 300 defense and 30 PR the formula will be like this: 10 000 - 3 000 - 300 = 6 700

So, the benefit from PR is far better than defense. So, your goal will be to seek all PR you can get. Soul of Black Dragon gems and a 0 Cursed Black Dragon Torso should be your goal.

My setup
This part will go thru all my gear and pets. Today I use two pets and I am breading my third. My most regularly used pet is a Mordo Jr Lv40 Con. I even use this pet when I am training. Sharpshooters are by far one of the best lurers. For training at Abaddon lv4 I always use this pet. And at pvp areas I use all my con gear, to make sure I can survive for as long as possible. My second pet is a Mordo Jr Lv33 Acc. I almost never use this pet, since it is so low leveled. But as soon as this one reaches lv40 or lv41 I will start using this for training. When you are training solo it is nice to have a lot of acc gear. That way you will be able to hit the mobs very hard. For now Im using a 0 cursed Black Dragon Torso, forged with Soul of Black Dragon and Colo Gems.

Forging
The forging part is the easiest and most expensive part when it comes to building up a character. The goal is easy to define since we only have 2 sockets to play with; Unique Gems (Striking, Wind and Colosus) and Black Dragon Gems (Soul, Heart and Eye of Black Dragon).

Gloves
1st Socket: Heart of Black Dragon (+500 HP) 2nd Socket: Gem of Striking (+5 Acc) 3rd Socket: V2.0 Unique gem (+8 Acc)

Boots
1st Socket: Heart of Black Dragon (+500 HP) 2nd Socket: Gem of Wind (+5 Agi) 3rd Socket: V2.0 Unique gem (+8 Agi)

Armor
1st Socket: Soul of Black Dragon (+3 PR) 2nd Socket: Gem of Colossus (+5 Con) 3rd Socket: V2.0 Unique gem (+8 Con)

Weapon
1st Socket: Eye of Black Dragon (+50 Attack) 2nd Socket: Explosive Gem (+10 Attack) 3rd Socket: V2.0 Unique gem (+8 Acc)
