2.What is meant by vocation?

- It depends on point of view. For typical life it can mean from. Being strongly attached
or attracted to a certain job. Or just wanting to be a poet because you are fantastic at
poetry.

For army, it means one of the many possible jobs the government will assign to you.
Vocation is broadly defined cluster of various jobs which attracts and repels some
particular type of people

3.What is meant by mission?

- When i hear the word mission , the first thing which comes to my mind is assignment .
I always align the two words together. Mission is a task which requires action and it
focuses on what is needed to be done today. It is what drives an organization or a
student towards their goal. It also clarifies how you gonna do what you need to do .
Most organizations have their own missions which drives them.
4.Are these two( vocation & mission ) related?
- It depends on the context. Are you speaking in a religious or secular sense. For
instance, religious institutions engage in “missions and outreach”, but every corporation
has a “mission statement” that its people are supposed to know and live by. Vocation
tends to be a broader term: it refers both to a person’s religious vocation and to one’s
practical professional vocation, such as teacher, carpenter, mechanic, plumber,
businessman or woman, etc.
5.Is teaching a job or a mission? What is the difference.
- Teaching as a mission exists under the gloss of procedure everywhere. If you loose
that sense of mission then your career will be a short one as there is no real reason to
stay. Many jobs, ordinary jobs are a better choice for anyone with a degree and some
motivation. There are better things to do with your life if you don’t feel that teaching is
important to the world, that thought changes everything. If teaching is not of central
importance to you and the world you wish to live in, please do not go in to teaching.
