Kate Lobis is the business owner, she is 17 years old and has very little business experience as
this is her first business venture. She doesn’t have much experience in nails but has worked hard
to learn nail skills and create the business. Her business is called Kate’s Nails, it is located in
Highlands Ranch, Colorado and sells press on nails and provides nail services. Kate’s Nails was
created to provide affordable nails to teenage and young adult women who struggle to pay for
the expensive cost of nails. Kate’s Nails products and services are priced at a lower price than
other salons but are priced high enough for the company to make a profit. Kate’s Nails plans to
market the company through social media, paid influencers, flyers, billboards, and customer
reviews. The goals of this business is to provide young girls with affordable and quality nails and
for the company to continuously make a profit.

My business’s name is Kate’s Nails which is a company that provides affordable and quality nail
services. This company is targeted at teenage and young adult women who can’t afford the high
nail prices. I came up with this idea because I am a teenage girl who enjoys getting her nails
done and wishes there was a more affordable way to get them done.

Kate’s Nails provides nail services located in


Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Clients, of any age, can
get manicure, pedicures, acrylic nail sets or get their
nails painted with polish or gel. Our services are
friendly, customizable, affordable, and high quality.

Kate’s Nails’ will use the online platforms Instagram and TikTok to advertise our
product and services. We will pay influencers to promote our salon and we will post
our own ads on these platforms. This is because Kate’s Nails’ target market is young
adult and teenage women and this demographic is very impressionable through
TikTok and Instagram.
Kate’s Nails’ will also use flyers, customer reviews, and billboards to advertise our
product and services. This is because flyers and billboards will market our salon to a
greater audience and can be seen everywhere while customer reviews will make
Kate’s Nails’ seem like a good place to get nail services and will influence customers
to come to our salon.

● Kate’s Nails will need a nail tech license from the Office of Barber and Cosmetology
Licensure. The technicians will also be required to get an education at an approved
beauty school and attend for at least 600 hours.
