Kate Lobis is the business owner, she is 17 years old and has very little business experience as
this is her first business venture. She doesn’t have much experience in nails but has worked hard
to learn nail skills and create the business. Her business is called Kate’s Nails, it is located in
Highlands Ranch, Colorado and sells press on nails and provides nail services. Kate’s Nails was
created to provide affordable nails to teenage and young adult women who struggle to pay for
the expensive cost of nails. Kate’s Nails products and services are priced at a lower price than
other salons but are priced high enough for the company to make a profit. Kate’s Nails plans to
market the company through social media, paid influencers, flyers, billboards, and customer
reviews. The goals of this business is to provide young girls with affordable and quality nails and
for the company to continuously make a profit.

services. This company is targeted at teenage and young adult women who can’t afford the high
nail prices. I came up with this idea because I am a teenage girl who enjoys getting her nails
done and wishes there was a more affordable way to get them done.

Description of Product’s Features and Benefits
Kate’s Nails’ products are a variety of press on nail types and designs that the
customer can purchase and apply themselves at home. Kate’s Nails also provides nail
services to their customers. Customers can get a manicure, pedicure, full set of gel,
full set of dip, or a full acrylic set. The problem that the product and services solve
for the customer is that they can get their nails done for a range of affordable prices
whereas normally to get your nails done the customer would have to spend a lot of
money.

● Kate’s Nails will need a nail tech license from the Office of Barber and Cosmetology
Licensure. The technicians will also be required to get an education at an approved
beauty school and attend for at least 600 hours.
