Combined turn and mill operations
at high power.
Rotary tools, C-axis and Y-axis

The M model is equipped with a


servo turret and C-axis allowing
turn and mill operations.
The rotary tools are driven by
a motor with 70 Nm torque
and 5,5 kW power available right
from 750 rpm.
The Y model equipped with C and
Y axis combines in a single machine
turning and milling capability of a
4 axis machining center thus enabling
machining such as accurate key-ways,
flat milling with high surface finish
and perfect flatness as well as radial
off-centre drilling and tapping.
Y-axis travel is achieved by the
simultaneous movement of the two
independent slides.
This design distributes cutting
force over the two slides assuring
exceptional rigidity and maximum
accuracy both in turning and milling
operations.

BIGLIA SERVO-TURRET
Fast and rigid BIGLIA 12-station servo-turret. Live tooling
on all positions. Up to 30 tools can work simultaneously.
The turret can accept the same toolholders to machine
parts both from the main and sub-spindle.
The static toolholders and the rotary tools assure
exceptional rigidity and positioning accuracy.

SUB-SPINDLE
The workpiece is automatically transferred from the main to the sub-spindle which is now
even more powerful to enhance productivity and perform the complete machining
with higher accuracy. The second spindle is equipped with B-axis load detection system
and pneumatic ejector to check presence of the component (option) which allow to
perform safe machining operations.

TOOL-SETTER
(option)
This device makes tool-setting simple, fast and accurate.
The tool tip is brought into contact with the probe and
the tool offset value is automatically stored into relevant
table of the CNC control.

KIT FOR BAR MACHINING


(option)
It includes the automatic parts-catcher to unload
finished parts and the models equipped with the second
spindle also feature the pneumatic ejector with
wash-down system to clean the clamping device.

CNC AUTOMATIC TAILSTOCK


(standard feature on base, M and Y models)
The tailstock body slides on an independent slide and
is operated by a servo motor and ball screw (B axis).
This solution improves operating flexibility since position
and thrust are CNC-controlled. It is particularly suitable
for the machining of shafts that must be centre-drilled
first and then supported by the tailstock for turning
operations. Also, to allow introducing medium-long
sized shafts, the tailstock can be operated when the
door is open thanks to the BIGLIA software.
It can also be used to perform simultaneously both
drilling and turning.
