Self- Reflection

On Thursday, November 9, 2023, I taught social studies to the sixth-grade students. At the
beginning of the class, I introduced the new lesson and went over what we learned before. To make
the class more interesting, I showed a video from the internet that covered the entire lesson. I found
it fascinating. I carefully gathered the important points to teach the students. However, I faced a
challenge in managing the classroom because some students were noisy and distracted. It made
things a bit difficult. I realized that I need to understand the topic even better and become more
comfortable with teaching it.

One thing I noticed was that when I played the video, it caught the students' attention, but I need to
figure out how to keep them engaged throughout the entire class. I want to make the lessons more
interesting and fun for them. Another aspect I need to focus on is creating worksheets for the
students. I have to be careful and double-check the texts and contexts to avoid any spelling mistakes
or errors. Being aware of these details will help me provide better materials for the students to learn
from.

Looking back at the class, I acknowledge the areas where I can improve. I aim to
comprehend the topic more deeply, manage the classroom better, and create more engaging
lessons. I believe that by being more prepared and attentive to these details, I can make the learning
experience better for the students in the next class. My goal is to enhance their understanding and
make the lessons enjoyable and educational.
