About Us:
Charles M. Blalack Middle School has been a beacon of excellence in north Carrollton for a quarter of a century. Established in 1986, Blalack has developed a reputation for high expectations in academics, fine arts, and athletics. A large, comprehensive middle school, Blalack embraces the rich diversity of its student body, and strives to create a safe, nurturing, and challenging environment for all students.
Achievements:
Academics Charles M. Blalack Middle School is Recognized by the state of Texas for our outstanding academic performance. We have the highest "5 Star" rating by Texas Monthly Magazine and are recognized as a top performing school by the prestigious "Just for the Kids" organization. In the 2007 school year, Blalack earned the "Exemplary" distinction from the state, making them one of the largest and most diverse middle schools in Texas to ever do so. Arts Charles M. Blalack has a thriving fine arts program, featuring band, orchestra, choir, theatre arts and studio art. Ninety eight percent of the student body at Blalack is enrolled in formal musical training. During the 2009-10 school year, ten musical groups earned UIL sweepstakes awards, setting a school record.
Athletics Charles M. Blalack is as successful in athletics as they are academically. Male athletes may participate in football, basketball, track and soccer. Female athletes may participate in volleyball, basketball, track and soccer. When appropriate, all athletes participate in offseason athletics.
