Description:

The purpose of this project is the capture and process the information of Customers, the
“L&T” equipment’s like heavy duty machines, machine work hours, machine fuel
consumption, Dealers in order to provide good services to their customers. The above
information is captured through satellite and PEDW receives this data from satellite,
processes it in ETL tool and it will display the results as reports to the L&T team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understanding and gathering of client requirements through daily calls.

Identified/documented data sources and transformation rules required populating and

maintaining data warehouse content.

Creation of DataStage jobs to extract data from data sources like Oracle, ODBC, SQL server
and Flat files.

Involved in Staging data through ETL tool DataStage.

Used different transformations such as Join, Funnel, Filter, Aggregator, Sort, Transformer,
Lookup, CDC, Surrogate key Generator, Data Set and Sequential File and Database stages etc.

Performed Unit testing, review processes and preparation of Unit Test case Document.

Scheduling jobs through AutoSys and migrating the jobs to Test and Prod environment.

Taking regular backups of the jobs developed using DataStage Designer Export/Import utility.

Involved in END-END project delivery.

DESCRIPTION :

Johnson & Johnson Ltd. is the most comprehensive manufacturer of Different

products, selling more than 100 different products in the consumer, pharmaceutical and professional
markets. This project is aimed at evaluation of sales performance of the Business covering the consumer
products especially, Johnson & Johnson products. Data warehouse design for the purpose of Sales
Analysis that basically helps the decision makers to analyze the sales patterns.

The company was looking for business enhancement and competitive edge using information
technology to make better business decisions. Client wanted to have some system, which can give them
intelligent information reports regarding their existing business situation, and how they can analyze their
business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Extensively used Data Stage Designer to develop various Parallel jobs to extract, cleanse,
transform, integrate and load data into Enterprise Data Warehouse tables.
• Involved in Design, Source to Target Mappings between sources to operational staging targets,
using Star Schema, Implemented logic for Slowly Changing Dimensions.
• Used DataStage Manager for importing the source and target database schemas, importing
and exporting jobs/projects, creating new job categories and table definitions
• Extracted data from various sources, Transformed according to the requirement and Loaded
