Specific Objectives: At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:

1. a. Understand the concept of integers and their operations (addition,

subtraction, multiplication, and division).
2. Solve integer problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication,
and division accurately.
3. Apply integer operations to real-life scenarios.

IV – PROCEDURES
Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity
Preliminary Activities I. Prayer
“So let us stand, May I request Mr.
 “Let us put ourselves in the
Suyo for our prayer” presence of our almighty
God… Amen”
II. Greetings
“Good Morning class!”
 “Good Morning sir, good
morning classmates…”
III. Checking of Attendance
“May I request the class monitor
for the list of students who are
 “Yes sir”
present today, and kindly give me
the list after the class session”

IV. Classroom Management

“Before we start our lesson, who
can give me a classroom  “Raise your hand, if you
standard? want to answer”
“Sit Properly”

“I hope those classroom “Don’t talk to your
standards are observed as we go seatmate”
through our lesson” “Participate in group
activities”
“Listen Carefully”

“Yes sir”
A. Reviewing the previous “Who among you here, discuss what is an
lesson or presenting integer?”
the new lesson. “Integer is a positive and negative
Anyone? whole number…”

Yes, Ms. Samoy

B. Establishing a purpose
for the lesson “Before we start our new lesson, kindly

OBJECTIVES)
C. Presenting illustrative “Now, we will begin our new topic, But,
examples/ instances of before that I have a math trick.
the lesson
(MOTIVATION) Are you ready? “Yes sir”

So get any piece of paper and a ball pen.

Write the month number of your birthday.
For example, if you were born on October
then your month number is 10.
“Yes sir”
Are you done?

Then, multiply it by 5.
Next, add 6.
Multiply the total by 4.
Add 9.
Multiply by 5
Then add your birth date. If you were born
on the 8th, then add 8.

And last, subtract 165. You will be

surprised because you will get the month
and the day you were born.

Are you finished? “Yes sir”

What you have notice on the trick?” “I have notice that we perform
different operations before we
“Yes Mr. Sumampong” arrive at our answer”
D. Discussing the new  Seatwork/Board work  Answer
concepts and 1. -23+31= a) 8
practicing new skills 2. 9 x (-4) = b) -36
(ACTIVITY) 3. -15/3 = c) -5
4. 7- (-2) = d) 9
5. -5 x (-2) = e) 10
E. Developing mastery  Guide Questions:
(guides formative 1. How did you come up with
assessment) your answer?
(ANALYSIS) 2. What are the rules in Student’s Response
operations of integers?
3. How we relate integer in a
real world application?
F. Making generalizations
and abstraction about Integer is a positive and negative whole
the lesson number. It has rules in performing each
(ABSTRACTION) operation.

Rules for Addition and Subtraction
 If the sign is the same just add the
number and keep the sign.
 If the sign is not the same just
subtract the number and keep the
sign of the largest number.
Rules for Multiplication and Division
 If the sign is the same just multiply
or divide the number and keep it
positive.
 If the sign is not the same just
multiply or divide the number and
keep it negative.
G. Finding practical  Group Activity
applications of Class will divide into four.
concepts and skills in Each group will pick colored
daily living paper.
(APPLICATION) Each colored paper has
designated question written on it.
The group entitled to answer the
question will write their answer on
the blackboard.
