Group Activity Report (Send to ward supervisor before starting)

Title of the activity: News Paper Reading

Objective: Describe the aim of the activity you want to promote in patients or the expected advantages
in this regard.

• To promote concentration and memory.

• in order to practice recognizing gestures and can identify meanings as well as perform various
gestures.

Place, date & time: M1 Meeting Room, April 11th at 1:30 am to 2:00 am

Criteria for selecting the patient:

• Non-violent/non-aggressive or major depression

• Calm and composed participants

• Not a participant with mania or who have violent episodes

Materials: small piece of paper Write one message on each sheet.

Diagram of the participants: Participants sit along the table while the leader and co-leader sit on
opposite sides of the table to observe the participants.
Method & sequence of activity: Describes the characteristic of activity from the opening,

working, and closing group session.

Opening

● Introduce self and co-leader to group

● Let members introduce themselves

● Explain the activity itself as well as its purpose.

● Explain the rules during the activity that everyone must follow.

● Orientation members

● Ask who wants to read today's article.

● Talk a little with the members, for example, what fruits do you like to eat?

Working phase

● Hand out prepared articles to members who present themselves to read.

● Ask the members that they can begin reading

● After reading, have members participate and encourage them to participate and ask questions about
their opinions such as What did you think about the article?

Closing session:

● Ask patients how they feel during the game.

● Ask patients what they think the activity gives them.

● Summarize the activity and the benefits of the activity

● Thank everyone for their participation.

Leader’s roles and activities: Oversee all activities and monitor how the process is going.

Co-leader’s roles and activity: assist the leader when needed and help oversees the activity as well as
observing the participants
