How important is it to maintain the cleanliness of all public areas in a hotel? Discuss your answer.

Public areas of the hotel include the areas that are in constant view and frequented by
guests. These areas, particularly the entrance and reception, give the first impression to
anyone coming into a hotel establishment and visitors can form an opinion about the
whole hotel based on that “first look.” For this reason, the overall appearance and
cleanliness of public areas are very important. Housekeeping is usually responsible for
this area.
