The Life of All Filipinos in 2040:

Matatag, Maginhawa at Panatag na Buhay

By 2040, Filipinos enjoy a strongly rooted, comfortable, and secure life.

In 2040, we will all enjoy a stable and comfortable lifestyle, secure in the
knowledge that we have enough for our daily needs and unexpected expenses, that we
can plan and prepare for our own and our children’s future. Our family lives together in a
place of our own, and we have the freedom to go where we desire, protected and
enabled by a clean, efficient, and fair government.

a. List down and briefly explain five (5) things you can do in the next 5 years to
contribute to this vision

Unhealthy lifestyle - As popularly said ‘Health is wealth’ taking care of my body

must be my first priority. Taking care of my health first which automatically takes
care of my mind, following a healthy balanced diet with adequate physical
activity gives good health.

Unwanted excuses - It is not about the opportunities I get, it is all about how I use
it and makes my life better.

Fixed mindset - “The future belongs to those who learn more skills and combine
them in creative ways.” Robert Greene
Social Media dependency – to have a better future don’t waste time on social
media that is not relevant to the goal.

Stay away from toxic People - People you spend most of your time with, add up
to who you become in the future. Choose the people who can help you to lead
the better future.

b. If you will be tasked to create the vision for the Philippine Values Program,
how will you state it?

smooth interpersonal relationships, security of the Philippine economy and the sensing
of the feelings or needs of others”

The ethnically diverse people of the Philippines collectively are called Filipinos.
The ancestors of the vast majority of the population were of Malay descent and came
from the Southeast Asian mainland as well as from what is now Indonesia.
Contemporary Filipino society consists of nearly 100 culturally and linguistically distinct
ethnic groups. Of these, the largest are the Tagalog of Luzon and the Cebuano of
the Visayan Islands, each of which constitutes about one-fifth of the country’s total
population. Other prominent groups include the Ilocano of northern Luzon and
the Hiligaynon (Ilongo) of the Visayan islands of Panay and Negros, comprising roughly
one-tenth of the population each. The Waray-Waray of the islands of Samar and Leyte in
the Visayas and the Bicol (Bikol) of the Bicol Peninsula together account for another
one-tenth. Filipino mestizos and the Kapampangans (Pampango) of south-central Luzon
each make up small proportions of the population.
