My fellow Americans,

Today, I am pleased to present to you the annual budget for the fiscal year 2022. This budget reflects
our shared values and priorities as a nation, and it is the result of careful deliberation and
consultation with Congress and the American people.

The budget I propose today is a balanced and responsible plan that invests in our future, strengthens
our economy, and protects our national security. It supports our recovery from the unprecedented
challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it lays the foundation for long-term growth and
prosperity.

The budget includes critical investments in infrastructure, education, health care, clean energy,
research and development, and other areas that will create jobs, improve lives, and enhance our
competitiveness in the global market. It also includes targeted tax cuts and credits for working
families, small businesses, and the middle class.

The budget also maintains our commitment to fiscal discipline and sustainability. It reduces the
deficit as a share of GDP over the next decade, and it puts our debt on a downward path. It does so
by making smart choices, eliminating wasteful spending, and asking the wealthiest Americans and
corporations to pay their fair share.

The budget I propose today is not just a collection of numbers. It is a reflection of our vision for a
better future. A future where every American has a fair shot at success. A future where we work
together to solve our common challenges. A future where we uphold our values and responsibilities
as a leader in the world.

I urge Congress to act swiftly and pass this budget, so that we can continue to build back better and
stronger than ever before.

Thank you, and God bless America.
