BARANGAY RESOLUTION No. 0448-10-17-22

“A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF THIRTY THOUSAND PESOS ONLY

(₱30,000.00) TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES TO BE INCURRED FOR THE CONDUCT OF DRUG
AWARENESS PROGRAM ON NOVEMBER 21, 2022 FOR THE 85 PARTICIPANTS TO BE HELD
AT BARANGAY HIPODROMO GYMNASIUM OF WHICH AMOUNT SHALL BE TAKEN FROM
THE BUDGET ALLOCATED TO GAD PROGRAM THIS CY 2022”

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation NO. 124, dated November 26,2001, the 3 rd week of
November of every year has been declared as Drug Abuse Prevention and Control week to promote public
awareness against the evil effects of illegal drug use, as well as public cooperation in the government’s Anti-
Drug Campaign;

WHEREAS, stated hereunder are the objectives of the Drug Awareness Program:
1) To mobilize support and inspire people to act against illegal drug use;
2) To promote the participants to be responsible to be responsible towards the use of drugs;
3) To make the participants learn that the use of illegal drugs is punishable by law and can put in jail for a
lifetime;

WHEREAS, since there is a need to increase awareness and understanding of the adverse effects of drug abuse
not only on the health of all people but also on the social, economic, and even the political development of the
country;

WHEREAS, therefore, Hon. Earol John A. Torres, moved for the approval of the conduct of the Drug
Awareness Program in the Barangay, and this was then seconded by Hon. Julito L. Aresco;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to approve and release the amount of Twenty-Nine Thousand
Seven Hundred Fifty Pesos Only (₱30,000.00) to defray the expenses that may incur for this program.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to authorize the Barangay Secretary to furnish copies of this to all
concerned.
