Tropical cyclones are powerful, rotating storms that typically form over warm ocean waters.
They're known by different names in various regions, such as hurricanes in the Atlantic and
Northeast Pacific, typhoons in the Northwest Pacific, and cyclones in the South Pacific and
Indian Ocean. These storms can cause devastating wind, rain, and storm surges, leading to
significant damage and sometimes loss of life when they make landfall.

An Emergency Response Plan is an important tool to help reduce the impact of damage
of a natural hazard to your property, business, and employees. This Tropical Cyclone
