Important Next Steps for Admission to Seneca

Thank you for applying to Visual Effects for Film and Television (VFT) at Seneca. To complete
your application, you’ll need to submit a letter of intent and portfolio for review.
How:
- Visit this link: senecacollege.ca/apply-vft and set up your SlideRoom online application.
- Answer all the questions in the SlideRoom forms section.
- Upload your letter and portfolio or provide a link in the SlideRoom portfolio section.
- When you’re ready, SUBMIT your completed application.
When:
Your submission deadline is stated in our email with the subject ‘Important Next Steps for
Admission to Seneca College’.
What:
Letter
Your letter of intent should tell the story of who you are and how you will succeed in the
program.
Portfolio
Your portfolio should include a total of five pieces of work related to visual effects and/or
motion graphics. This can consist of the best 2D or 3D work that you have done in a previous
course or on your own, such as:
- 3D models you created, textured, rendered or animated
- Image manipulation using programs such as Photoshop (please include ‘before and
after’ images if you do heavy image editing)
- Compositing, design or motion graphic work
- Student films or Photography (maximum five pieces)
You can submit your portfolio as images, a demo reel (no longer than 2 minutes) or as a
website. You can upload your portfolio to SlideRoom or provide a link to a site where the
portfolio can be viewed.
SlideRoom supports most image, video, 3D and document formats but please check for file
size limitations.
