‫اس وفد کے قائد حضرت طفی ل بن عم رو دوس ی رض ی ہللا تع اٰل ی عنہ تھے یہ ہج رت‬

‫سے قبل ہی اسالم قبول کر چکے تھے۔ ان کے اسالم النے کا واقعہ بھی ب ڑا ہی عجیب‬
‫ہے یہ ایک بڑے ہوش مند اور شعلہ بیان شاعر تھے۔ یہ کسی ضرورت س ے مکہ آئے‬
‫تو کفار قریش نے ان سے کہہ دی ا کہ خ بردار تم محم د (ص لی ہللا تع اٰل ی علیہ و س لم )‬
‫سے نہ ملنا اور ہر گز ہر گ ز ان کی ب ات نہ س ننا۔ ان کے کالم میں ایس ا ج ادو ہے کہ‬
‫جو سن لیتا ہے وہ اپنا دین و م ذہب چھ وڑ بیٹھت ا ہے اور عزی ز و اق ارب س ے اس ک ا‬
‫رشتہ کٹ جاتا ہے۔ یہ کفار مکہ کے فریب میں آ گئے اور اپ نے ک انوں میں انہ وں نے‬
‫روئی بھر لی کہ کہیں قرآن کی آواز کانوں میں نہ پڑ جائے۔ لیکن ایک دن صبح ک و یہ‬
‫حرم کعبہ میں گئے تو رسول اﷲ صلی ہللا تعاٰل ی علیہ و سلم فجر کی نماز میں ق راء ت‬
‫فرما رہے تھے ایک دم قرآن کی آواز جو ان کے کان میں پڑی تو یہ قرآن کی فصاحت‬
‫و بالغت پر حیران رہ گئے اور کتاِب اٰل ہی کی عظمت اور اس کی ت اثیر رب انی نے ان‬
‫کے دل کو موہ لیا۔ جب حضور اکرم صلی ہللا تعاٰل ی علیہ و سلم کا شانہ نبوت ک و چلے‬
‫تو یہ بے تابانہ آپ صلی ہللا تعاٰل ی علیہ و سلم کے پیچھے پیچھے چل پ ڑے اور مک ان‬
‫میں آ کر آپ کے سامنے مودبانہ بیٹھ گ ئے اور اپن ا اور ق ریش کی ب دگوئیوں ک ا س ارا‬
‫حال سنا کر عرض کیا کہ خدا کی قسم! میں نے قرآن سے بڑھ کر فصیح و بلیغ آج تک‬
‫کوئی کالم نہیں سنا۔ ﷲ! مجھے بتائیے کہ اسالم کیا ہے؟ حضور صلی ہللا تعاٰل ی علیہ و‬
‫سلم نے اسالم کے چند احکام ان کے سامنے بیان فرما کر ان ک و اس الم کی دع وت دی‬
‫تو وہ فورًا ہی کلمہ پڑھ کر مسلمان ہو گئے۔‬
‫پھر انہوں نے درخواست کی ی ا رس ول اﷲ! ص لی ہللا تع اٰل ی علیہ و س لم مجھے ک وئی‬
‫ایسی عالمت و کرامت عطا فرمائیے کہ جس کو دیکھ کر لوگ میری باتوں کی تصدیق‬
‫کریں تا کہ میں اپنی قوم میں یہ اں س ے ج ا ک ر اس الم کی تبلی غ ک روں ۔ آپ ص لی ہللا‬
‫تعاٰل ی علیہ و سلم نے دعا فرما دی کہ اٰل ہی!تو ان کو ایک خاص قسم کا ن ور عط ا فرم ا‬
‫دے۔ چنانچہ اس دعاء نب وی کی ب دولت ان ک و یہ ک رامت عط ا ہ وئی کہ ان کی دون وں‬
‫آنکھوں کے درمیان چراغ کے مانند ایک نور چمکنے لگ ا۔ مگ ر انہ وں نے یہ خ واہش‬
‫ظاہر کی کہ یہ نور میرے سر میں منتقل ہو جائے۔ چن انچہ ان ک ا س ر قن دیل کی ط رح‬
‫چمکنے لگا۔ جب یہ اپنے قبیلہ میں پہنچے اور اسالم کی دعوت دی نے لگے ت و ان کے‬
‫ماں باپ اور بیوی نے تو اسالم قبول ک ر لی ا مگ ر ان کی ق وم مس لمان نہیں ہ وئی بلکہ‬
‫اس الم کی مخ الفت پ ر ت ل گ ئی۔ یہ اپ نی ق وم کے اس الم س ے م ایوس ہ وکر پھ ر‬
‫حضور صلی ہللا تعاٰل ی علیہ و سلم کی خدمت میں چلے گئے اور اپنی قوم کی سرکش ی‬
‫اور سرتابی کا سارا حال بیان کیا تو آپ صلی ہللا تعاٰل ی علیہ و سلم نے ارشاد فرمای ا کہ‬
‫تم پھر اپنی قوم میں چلے جاؤ اور ن رمی کے س اتھ ان ک و خ دا کی ط رف بالتے رہ و۔‬
‫چنانچہ یہ پھر اپنی قوم میں آ گئے اور لگاتار اسالم کی دعوت دیتے رہے یہاں ت ک کہ‬
‫ستر یا اسی گھرانوں میں اسالم کی روشنی پھیل گئی اور یہ ان سب لوگوں کو ساتھ لے‬
‫کر خیبر میں تاجدار دو عالم صلی ہللا تعاٰل ی علیہ و سلم کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہ و گ ئے‬
‫اور آپ صلی ہللا تعاٰل ی علیہ و سلم نے خوش ہو کر خیبر کے مال غ نیمت میں س ے ان‬
‫سب لوگوں کو حصہ عطا فرمایا۔ ‪1‬‬

‫‪The leader of this delegation was Hazrat Tufail bin‬‬

‫‪Amr Dosi, may Allah be pleased with him. He had‬‬
‫‪accepted Islam before the migration. The incident of‬‬
‫‪his conversion to Islam is also very strange. He was a‬‬
very intelligent and flamboyant poet. When they
came to Makkah out of necessity, the disbelievers of
Quraish told them that they should be careful not to
meet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be
upon him) and never listen to him. There is such a
magic in his words that whoever hears it leaves his
religion and his relationship with his loved ones and
relatives is severed. These infidels were deceived by
Makkah and filled their ears with cotton so that the
sound of the Qur'an would not fall into their ears .
But one day in the morning they went to the Holy
Kaaba, and the Messenger of Allah, may God bless
him and grant him peace, was reciting in the Fajr
prayer, when he heard the sound of the Qur'an in his
ear, and he was amazed at the eloquence of the
Qur'an. And the greatness of the Divine Book and its
effectiveness, Lord, captivated his heart. When the
shoulder of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam) became Prophet, he eagerly followed him
and came to the house and sat politely in front of him
and all the bad things about himself and the Quraysh.
He said, "By God!" I have not heard any word more
eloquent and eloquent than the Qur'an. God! Tell me
what is Islam? The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi
Wasallam) explained some of the precepts of Islam
to them and invited them to Islam, so they
immediately read the word and became Muslims.
Then they requested O Messenger of Allah! May
Allah's blessings and peace be upon him, grant me
such a sign and honor that people will confirm my
words by seeing them, so that I can go and preach
Islam to my people. The Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allah be upon him) prayed that, O Allah, grant
them a special kind of light. Therefore, thanks to this
supplication of the Prophet, he was given the grace
that a light like a lamp started shining between his
two eyes. But he wished that this light should be
transferred to my head. So his head started shining
like a lantern. When they reached their tribe and
started inviting them to Islam, their parents and their
wives accepted Islam, but their people did not
become Muslims, but opposed Islam.
Disillusioned with the Islam of his people, he then went to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace
and blessings of Allah be upon him) and described the whole situation of his people's disobedience
and tyranny. Go and gently call them to God. So they again came to their own people and continued
to invite Islam until the light of Islam spread in seventy or eighty families and it took all these people
to Khaybar to the court of Tajdar Two Scholars. I was present and the Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allah be upon him) was pleased
