Page 279, the class will read the information about the
aztec culture and compare with the youtube video.
Then ss will answer Why do they think Aztec heaven
was believed to be a place where warriors were
protected by gods? Why would Aztec people see this
as a reward? Ss will write their personal opinion.

Exercise 2, ss will give and write 3 reason why they


think women and men were educated differently in
Aztec culture.

Page 280, ss will read about the agriculture and trades


in Aztec culture. Exercise 3, ss will identify food items
we inherited from Mesoamerican people. Exercise 4,
ss will answer 3 questions about education and
economic activities from Aztecs. Page 281, ss will read
the extract from the letter Hernan Cortes sent to
emperor, “The Plaza of Tlatelolco”, to answer the
questions.

Post Activity: Exercise 7, ss will draw an image of what


they think an Aztec market might have looked like.
Then ss will compare their drawings and check if they
are very different or similar.

Exercise 2, ss will read the statements and complete
the sentences about which verb the adverb modify
and how it modifies.
Ss will read the Language Key, about adverbs. The ss
will complete exercise 4, filling each blank with the
correct adverb from the box.
Post-activity: Ss will get into pairs. They will close
their books and try to spell an adverbs without looking
at them. Ss will write the adverbs they could spell in
exercise 3, page 122.
