CONCLUSION :
8740 and 4340 steel are incredibly strong and durable materials that can withstand high pressure
and stress. However, when it comes to the ultimate and tensile strength, 4340 steel has the edge.
It’s high nickel and chromium content makes it slightly stronger and more corrosion-resistant than
8740. On the other hand, 8740 is more easily machined and welded than 4340, making it a better
choice for applications that require a lot of shaping or forming.
