Founders’ Message

I am pleased to introduce Hacktiv8’s inaugural

impact report, which showcases the organization’s
accomplishments and influence in training novice
software developers and preparing them for thriving Riza Fahmi Ronald Ishak

Hacktiv8 was established in 2016 with a clear
and ambitious objective: to tackle the scarcity
of skilled software developers in the Indonesian
technology sector. We identified that the
rapid expansion of tech-enabled businesses
in the region was hindered by a lack of access
to qualified talent, and we recognized an
opportunity to make a meaningful difference by
training the next generation of developers.
Our approach was to create a comprehensive
and practical curriculum that would provide
novices with the skills and experience required to
excel in the technology industry. We believed that
by providing students with hands-on experience
and a supportive learning environment, we could
help them overcome obstacles to entry and
establish successful careers in technology.
To achieve this, we made “graduates hired” our
guiding principle and were devoted to resolving
the issue of the skills gap in the technology sector.
We are dedicated to providing students with a
curriculum that is not only tailored to the needs of
the industry but also designed to help them learn
and develop as developers.
By addressing the skills gap in the technology
industry, we are contributing to the development
and growth of Indonesia’s economy. With the
rapid expansion of the technology sector, the
demand for skilled developers has increased,
and Hacktiv8 is playing a critical role in preparing
the next generation of professionals to meet
this demand. Through our focus on practical,
industry-relevant training, we are helping to build
a stronger and more competitive technology
industry in Indonesia, which, in turn, is creating
new job opportunities, driving innovation,
and contributing to the country’s overall
economic growth. We are proud to be making
a meaningful impact on the future of Indonesia’s
technology industry.
This report highlights the achievements of our
