Announcement
Kindly read the user manual before install and test.
Only qualified technician after training can operate equipment,
the operator requested familiar with the use and safety of
other equipment which is compatible with the alignment, such
as computers, lifts, etc.
The operator must have a certain basic knowledge of
computer application, and need to understand the basic
knowledge of four wheel alignment.
The power supply voltage of the 3D wheel aligner is
AC220V±10%, 50±1Hz, should be use a three-terminal power
outlet and ground terminal must be grounded, should clear
local power supply voltage is normal or not. if the power
supply voltage is unstable, please equip your own AC voltage
regulator.
Power off when the machine is free, make sure pull out the
plug from socket instead of pulling plug line from socket.
The 3D four-wheel aligner is tested by the principle of optical
imaging, objects between the camera and the target should
be avoided to block the light, and the test cannot be
performed when the sun directly illuminates the camera.
The camera of the 3D four-wheel aligner is a precision optical
measuring instrument, the beam collision should be avoided
during operate. if the position between two cameras changes,
Announcement
the instrument.
After the vehicle is repaired, all the repaired parts should be
carefully inspected and the commissioned parts should be
tightened to ensure the vehicle's safety.
Carefully check the equipment configuration list before
installation. if have any questions, please contact local dealer
or our company immediately.

Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Definition
3D wheel aligner is a precision vision measurement system(VMS),
which is computer vision technology, uses two or more
professional cameras to continuously detect four target plates
mounted on vehicle's four rims to get vehicles measuring data.
Mainly used to measuring vehicle's wheels parameters and
compare with the vehicle's original database to guide operator to
adjust the parameters to meet the original requirements, to
improve the vehicle's steering performance and driving stability of
the vehicle, and reduce tire wear.

wheel back and forth several times, to ensure the wheel in the
natural state.
2. Check for gaps or dents between runway surfaces, and check
for the cause of "jumping" when wheels roll.
3. Make sure the claws of the clamping fixture is hard fixated to
the wheel so that any release can cause shaking.
4. Make sure the vehicle is rolling forward and backward straight
ahead.
Notice:
Vehicle push should be with uniform speed as slow as
possible to ensure the stability of vehicle when rolling.
During all measurement processes, due to the influence
of abnormal factors such as object obstruction, strong
light interference and dirt on the target surface, camera
cannot catch the pattern of target plate, the “Camera

If the rear wheel parameter was different with original
parameter and need to be adjusted, the camber should be
adjusted first, then toe angle, normally, when the arrow
turns green and points to green area, at the same time the
right and left parameter are symmetric to each other
(basically the same), it means the real wheel condition is
qualified.
If front wheel parameter do not match original parameter,
please in turn adjust castor, camber, and then toe,
normally the parameters are qualified when the left and
right values are as close as possible and they are in
green area.
In some occasions, in order to fix the pulling problem
caused by special reason(chassis deformation, tyre in
cone shape, unqualified& not adjustable castor and so

should be in green area.
Vehicle size parameters are helpful for faulty car repairs.

automatically.
For all adjustment interfaces, click [Unit Settings] to
change the display unit; Click [Unit Setting] button on the

Appendix A Maintenance
1 Camera’s Maintenance
The left and right cameras are fixed at the ends of the beam. it
is forbidden to be placed near the source of radiation and heat.
it is strictly prohibited to be placed in an environment close to
explosion, heat, cold and humidity.
Do not shake and hit the beam.
Long-Term use will accumulate a certain amount of dust and
oil in front of the camera lens; therefore, regularly scrub with a
neutral detergent or anhydrous alcohol. do not touch the
camera lens with oily or corrosive substances.
Do not disassemble the camera, tamper internal wiring and
boards to avoid damage to internal components.

2 Alignment Parameters
The wheel alignment is mainly consisting of camber, caster, toe-in,
kingpin inclination, Toe-out on turns, wheelbase difference, tread
difference, etc. they are designed mainly to improve the steering
performance and driving stability of the vehicle, and reduce tire
wear.
2.1 Camber
Camber: see from vehicle's front to rear, the angle between the
center-line of the wheel and the vertical line, outward is positive
and inward is negative, as shown following:

2.2 Toe-in
Rear Wheel Toe In (Individual Toe): refers to the angle between
the center-line of the vehicle and the center-line of the wheel, toe
in value will be positive if front wheel of vehicle is in inner side of
vehicle’s center-line , outer side is negative.
