Dismantling:

Disconnect power cord and slide the shaver switch button to position on. Remove shaving head
frame; unscrew the housing screws (56) and remove housing cover and bottom with a slight jerk.
In doing so, pay attention to the leg spring (19).
Loosen the motor fixing screws (50), tilt motor (47) in an upward direction and withdraw motor
together with printed circuit board from the motor mounting frame (43). Prior to withdrawing this
release circuit board (51). Finally remove the slide plate (18) with trimmer part from the housing
cover (16).

Reassembly:

Connect the motor to the circuit board then insert the motor with board in a slightly sloping
position into the motor mounting frame. Screw firmly motor fixing screws (50).
Install the leg spring (19) by placing its hook end at the back of the slide plate (18). Hold the
spring firmly in its location, and turn the side plate (18) so that the loop end of the spring rests in
the recess.
Push the switch button of the slide plate to position “on”. Place the left side of the plate in the
guide groove of the motor mounting frame (slide plate in top position), then press the right side
into the groove of the frame, and move the slide plate to its lowest position.
The restraining force of the leg spring (19) must be so great, that the switch button of the slide
plate (18) is actuating without taking the long-hair trimmer in the engaged position. If required,
readjust the leg spring (19). With attached sealing strip (17), place the housing cover (16) over the
slide plate (18) onto the motor mounting frame (43).
Ensure that the housing cover has locked into place at the bottom. Insert the side lugs of the rubber
sealing (37) into the appropriate housing recess. Pass the spring catch (27) through the
corresponding opening of the motor frame from the inside, and turn the catch to the correct
position. Finally reinstall housing bottom (53), relock the latter at the bottom, and tighten down
the two housing screws.
