AUDIT OF ACADEMIC & ADMINISTRATIVE SECTIONS
Sree Buddha college of Engineering ensures the quality of education through academic and
administrative audit every year as shown in figure. For the academic affairs, there are two types
of auditing, one is conducted internally and the other by the University. The administrative audit
is conducted intemally by the IQAC unit. The financial part of the administration is done by an
extemal audit expert.

The extemal academic audit is conducted by the University (KTU) as a part of the quality
assurance. The procedure is as follows:
a The University appoints an extemal auditor for one academic year and intimates the
schedule and guidelines to the Principal

t Extemal auditor conducts the academic audit for the Institute and departments with the
concwrence of the principal.
a IQAC extends the necessary supports and facilities for the successful completion of
the audit.
a The extemal auditor prepares and submits the academic audit report directly to the
University and the University sends the feedback on the report to the principal after
revlewtng.
a The feedback from the University is again send to the respective HoDs.
a The HoD, with the help of DAB, initiates corrective actions if necessary and intimate
the same to IQAC.
The process of administrative audit conducted by IQAC is presented below.
o The Principal initiates the audit through a circular to IQAC. The IQAC deputes audit
committee covering various departments of administration
. Audit committees perform the audit
o Audit committee prepares and submits the audit report to Principal.
o After reviewing the report, the Principal sends a feedback to the management

Purpose and scope of adminirtretive eudit

To assess the administrative intastructure of SBCE, to conftml that it is fit for the purpose of
supporting validated programmes, and to conclude the due diligence checks.
The administrative audit covers a range of administrative, financial and governance issucs
including financial viability, planning, adminishative staffng and pmcesses' IT struchne and
communications. The auditors will wish to be assured of a sound academic and administrative
infrastructure to zupport the quality assurance and enhancement of SBCE.
The audit includes discussions with relevant members of adminisfative staff.
