RE: Class Teacher’s End of year Report 2023 for S.2N

The term ended on Friday 8th December, 2023 and I would like thank God who enabled us to
successfully complete our teaching and assessment tasks by providing us good health. I also
thank the administrators for utilising the available resources and provide for the school needs.
In this report, I will highlight what transpired during the course of the year for S.2 NORTH
class and some of the challenges we faced as a class.
LEARNERS
This term we had a total of 89 Learners, 39 boys and 50 girls.
CLASS REGISTER
Attendance was taken on a daily basis from the first term to the third term. Registers were
handed over back to the dos at the end of the term.
CLASS GROUPS.
The groups we had were Nairobi, Kampala, Kigali, Lusaka, Cairo, Pretoria, Bujumbura,
and Kinshasa.
Re-grouping should be done in S.3. This will help in reducing bad behaviours and some
learners falling victim of bad company, as well as helping different learners to cooperate and
learn from each other.
TEXT BOOKS
We greatly appreciate the administration for providing us with text books to facilitate our
learning. The major challenge has been that some subjects have a few learner’s books. 4 to 5
learners have to share a textbook and this limits some learners from participating. The case has
been Physics, where each group had only two books for the textbook we were using (Longhorn
Publishers). I request for more support in availing the textbooks in the respective subjects.
PERFORMANCE
The performance of the learners has greatly improved. Appreciation goes to all the teachers
who have endeavoured to make sure that our learners are taught well. The syllabus has been
well covered and we hope for the same next term. The class has remained hardworking and the
students show high levels of interest in learning.
The following table summarises the performance of the best 10 students in third term 2023

picked their report cards. All the learners were promoted to S.3 Class 2024
