The EXI safety beam is a retroreflective photocell designed for use with approved amplifiers and
intrinsically safe barriers in explosive environments. The photocell is NAMUR compliant and has a
limit output that passes ≤ 1.2 mA in the “dark” condition and ≥ 2.1 mA in the “light” condition. This
particular beam has an Internal multi-turn SENSITIVITY control which is accessible from beneath
the hinged, o-ring sealed top cover Safety Beam

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The EXI Safety Beam retroreflective

photocell is a safety device from the
hazardous area equipment range that is to
be used in instrinsically safe barriers in
explosive environments.

The photocell has a 9m range and is

available in a 5-15V dc supply voltage with
a thermoplastic environmentally protected
IP.67 housing. This model is intrinsically safe
with an E xd rating of EEx ia IIC T6.
