Scope This standard specifies the general dimensional tolerances and general geometrical tolerances (positional tolerances) for metal parts to be machined, 2. The hole mentioned here means a bolt hole or any other similar hole. For the permissible dimensional deviations of the hole center distances of other holes, the permissible dimensional deviations of general dimensions specified in section 4.1 shall apply. Since fillets have great effect on strength, they shall also meet the permissible dimensional deviations ‘specified in Fig. 1 in addition to the permissible dimensional deviations specified in Table 6. As a rule, the shape shown in Fig. 2 is not allowed.
