“MY ASSIGNMENT”

SEAT WORK 11
Find out the downward pressure that carbon dioxide would
Have against the Earth’s surface.

MY ANSWER
Its 760 mm of Hg (14.7 lb/ft2)

HOMEWORK 11
It’s a common knowledge that the atmosphere exert a downward pressure of 760
mm of Hg (14.7 lb/ft2) on us. The question is: Do you feel this pressure exerting on
you? Yes or No. Justify your answer.

MY ANSWER
NO, because the pressure in our bodies is about equal to the atmospheric pressure
outside, we are not affected by the pressure of the environment surrounding us. As
a result, neither of the forces operating on our body is uncomfortable for us.

SEAT WORK 12
What kind of SEASON do we have right now?

MY ANSWER
Were in the RAINY SEASON (Wet), because the month of SEPTEMBER we have
right now, belong from the RAINY SEASON (Wet).

HOMEWORK 12
Of the two well-pronounced seasons we have in a
Year, which season do we experience right now in the Philippines?
MY ANSWER
We are in the midst of the rainy season (wet), which typically lasts from June
through September but can occasionally last until December. During this time,
dangerous effects from tropical cyclones, such as neckline deep floods and
widespread landslides, affect us; however, these effects are lessened by monsoon
rains (Habagat).

SEAT WORK 13
What force is required to give a projectile weighing?
475 N an acceleration of 3.00 x 103 m/sec2?

Given: m = 475 N x 1 kg = 475 kg = 48.5 kg

9.8 N 9.8
a = 3.00 x 10 = 3,000 m/sec2 F =?
3

Solution: F = m a

MY ANSWER:
F=m
A
= (48.5 kg) (3,000 m/sec2) y
= 145,500.0 kg. M/sec2
= 145,500.0 kg. M/sec2 x N = 145,500.0 N
1 kg. m/sec2
HOMEWORK 13:
1) What is the mass of a bag of cement
that weighs 485 N at sea level?
Given: F = 485 N a = 9.8 m/sec2
m=?
Solution: m = F
A

MY ANSWER:
m= F
A
= 485 N x kg. M/sec2 = 485 kg. M/s2
N 9.8 m/s2
m = 49.4 kg

2).A truck weighing 1.0 x 105 N. What force will it give to

produce an acceleration of 1.5 m/sec2?
Given: m = 1.0 x 105 N = 100,000 N x 1 kg
a = 1.5 m/sec2 9.8 N
Solution: F= m a

MY ANSWER
F= m a
(1.0 x 105 N (1.5 m/sec2)
= 150.0 N. m/sec2
= 150.0 N. m/sec2 x N = 150.0 N
1 kg. M/sec2

=150.0 N

SEAT WORK 14
Give at least 5 examples of Newton’s Law of
Interaction, aside from those that are mentioned in this
module.

MY ANSWER

 Walking.
 Pulling an elastic band.
 Swimming or rowing a boat.
 Static friction while pushing an object.
 Standing on the ground or sitting on a chair.

HOMEWORK 14:
Can you consider a road car head-collision as
example of the Newton’s Law of Interaction? Justify your
Answer.

MY ANSWER
Yes, due to the fact that collisions is an interaction between two objects who have
made contact (usually). As with every interaction, a collision exerts a force on the
items that collide. These collisions are governed by Newton's laws of motion.

SEAT WORK 15
A 5.00 kg and a 10.0 kg sphere at a distance of 0.3 m
apart. Find the gravitational attraction between them.
Given: m1 = 5.00 kg m2 = 10 kg d = 0.300 m
-11 2 2
G = 6.67 x 10 N m / kg
Solution: F = G m1 m2
(d)2

MY ANSWER

F = 6.67 x 10-11 x 5 x 10
(0.3) 2
= 6.67 x 10-11 x 50
0.09
= 333.5 x 10-11
0.09
= 3.705 x 103 x 10-11
= 3.705 x 10-11+3

N = 3.705x10-8

HOMEWORK 15
Explain in your own words, what makes the moon
to have lesser gravity than the earth?

MY ANSWER
Because the earth, is far larger in size, and it can preserve its atmosphere around it,
whereas the moon's lower size is unable to do so. The earth's gravitational pull is
six times stronger than the moon's.
SEAT WORK 16
Why is it important that we also have to be
at least knowledgeable in science?

MY ANSWER
Because we learn and it serves to meet many fundamental of human needs and
raise living standards, so I think that’s the reason why the science is highly
regarded to all us.

`
HOMEWORK 16
In what way science can improve the quality
of life for us.

MY ANSWER
By providing us with information about the past, current, and tomorrow, it
enhances our quality of life. It aids us in making decisions about how we might
live more cautiously and safely by allowing us to look into things that have
occurred or will occur. We can decrease the effect that natural forces have on our
lives by understanding how they affect our environment.
