Purpose
This course is aimed at learners working in the electrical industry who wish to enter the electrical
field as a career or better enhance their skills in the domestic and small commercial sectors of the
industry

Recommended Entry Criteria
■ Minimum age of 16 years
■ Grade 9 - English, Afrikaans, Maths, & science

Install Metal Trunking (90o Inside and Outside Mitre)
Install PVC Trunking on Surfaces (90o Inside and Outside Mitre)
Install Cable Trays (90o Inside and Outside Mitre)
Theory on Installing of Wire Ways
Install, make off and join flexible cables
Install, make off and join Surfix cables (UP TO 2.5MM2)
Install, make off and join twin & earth cables (UP TO 2.5MM2)
Cables Install, make off and join SWA cables (1.5mm2 X 4 CORE, 6.0mm2
X 2cORE & 16mm2 X 2 Core)
